First of, i'm posting this here because this is the most popular forum, it shall be seen/noticed most here.
I am making this thread to throw some points around the forums:
> The command known as '::yell' has been cut down to 1 shout per 2 minutes for the following reasons:
1. The yell chat is being used as a spamming filter, basically many members find it funny to spam/shout stupid things, therefore more members joining in and spam occurs.
2. Many people use it as a market, now yes this is ok if you post it once, but so many people just post it over and over again, filling the chat box with what they're trying to buy/sell.
3. Trust, now this is becoming a big thing, many members are offering to give "free transfers", if a member needs a transfer he will ask, the yell chat isn't there to be spammed on so that members can try and gain "trust".
So the yell chat is there for members to communicate from a far distance or ask a Mod for help, the main reason is if you need a Mod's help, so i ask all of you members to stop doing the things above in excess, it's ok if you post it once and then just leave it, but saying the same thing over and over again is just not needed.
> The market forums:
The market forums are there so there can be less spam on the server. It was made so that members can go there to buy/sell there items instead of spamming it on the server or in the yell chat. So i plead to all of you, if you could start to use the market instead of spamming the yell. Evidently because of this the yell chat will eventually be killed of, because of all this flames/spam.
So please take this into consideration, because the spam that is becoming on the yell chat is stupid, to many members use it as a place to spam the same line over and over again, now with the new 2 minute per shout will help...but the'll still be members who will post the same thing every 2 minutes.
So please think before you spam/yell stupid things which could cause other members to do the same, resulting in spam.
A small note: I shall continue to add points as they arise.
