Well here it is..
Im trying to get my laptop wireless, but for some reason it just wont pick up the router, my mums laptop picks it up; just mine.
When i try searching for one, it says 'wireless connection cannot be found in range' or something.
Im offering a whip to the first person to solve my problem.
Thanks.

Hm, try getting real close to it with your labtop lol, if that doesn't work you may need to attach the laptop to the router from now on.
You also need a wireless card, it goes in the left or right side, check if there is one, if there is not, buy one.

If any disk came with your router for wireless connections, run it and install it on your laptop, during the installation it will ask for your router wireless SSID and password to connect. If you dont know this, then ask ur mom im sure she knows since shes connected.

Well, does it pick up wireless signal somewhere else? Because there are multiple kinds of wireless signals. There are 3 kinds, actually: G,B and A. If your wireless detects only A signal, let's say the hotspot provides a G signal, then your computer won't pick it up. Check first, before you do anything.

Yeah, something like that. I had to download something that came with my router so it could connect to anyone's Internet. It should be the same for you, but I dunno.

Not fully sure, but I have to search for the network. If that dont work, maybe u didnt set it up properly, should call ur internet company.

This has happened to me, i was fooling around for hours and finally phoned the company that i have internet with, they will put you step by step how to fix the problem because it can be more than one thing, or can be simple as something turned off.
Ide suggest just simply phone the company your with.
If you do not know the number its on one of the bills you recieve in the mail, you can look their phone number up on the net, or its in your package that came with the computer.

if any of these dont work try reset your router.
or
get a antenna extender (makes range of antenna go farther)

The same thing happened to my friend when I was at his house and he fixed it. You have to go into some options folder thing and remove the MAC Adress. Once you do that, it should work fine.

you probably need a special chip reciever if it is not already in ur laptop. If you don't have one, go buy one or you can't use wireless =)

Thanks.
If that didn't work at all yet, try rebooting the router, and get in close enough range. You might need a WEP key as well.
