There are many ways of making money, for starters I recommend a few things.

A. Start leveling your combat up, look for higher level monsters along the way and try fighting new ones as you level up, slayer is a major way to make some money later on at a higher level, you can also fight bosses such as "Dad", "San", "The Black Knight Titan", "The Head Mourner", "Ungadulu", and a few more.

B. You can become a skiller, skillers level up non-combat skills, for starting as one, I recommend woodcutting or woodcutting/fletching, you can also do mining and smithing, both of those are highly profitable. These are the main ways of making money if you are not skilled at becoming high level or are not dedicated to getting a ton of 99 combat skills. Although selling better boss items is more profitable at times, this is a way to get a constant guaranteed flow of money, and there is no competition over it.

C. Merchanting, start by making some money using method B, you don't have to make a ton, start buying pretty good-high price items for lower than their cost, sell it for as high as possible, and try to make a profit out of it, it is hard to find deals, making a profit off this is not in any way guaranteed to happen and you may not make money off of it.
