Forums Turning Gay..

i never really used to post in the forums, but since i got involved with DW i started to post. and all i see is mods n such closing topics for flame or spam. this is possibly the dumbest thing ever. its a forum right? which means that its a place for people to express their opinions. so if someone posts a stupid post, and people make fun of them, like people will possibly do to this one, its their fault. yeah flamin may be mean, but if they made the post they better be ready for other people to react to it. these forums arent chill at all. if you wanna see a real forum look at the one on burton.com. yeah it may be a snowboarding forum, but its prolly the best forum on the internet. no such thing as a forum mod, no one is monitoring posts. why cant dodian forums be the same way. i dont see any reasons why it cant. just a thought....

Your right, only in a couple ways. Your right that the forum isn’t moving very fast, and that some topics are completely retarded.

Your also wrong, Give this. Your posting, then someone randomly says "*****" "*****" "Cunt" "Your worthless" "<censored> Fag" or any unnecessary posts. It’s only because of the idiot posters saying BS and not helping at all.

so what? its a forum, its a place for people to talk about things and express their opinions. if they dont post it in the right section yes, it may be spam. but its as simple as moving it. no need to close it.

Forums that are there for nothing but flame and spam really are not (usually) the type that a professional community's want for their members. Some people like to do this all the time, and more power to them... but the bottom line is that we do not want to have peoples feelings getting hurt to much or having the board being filled with tons of random things that never need to be said.

Forum moderators just keep everything running smoothly and try their best to have everything in the right places, neat, and together.

Nova, not all the stuff is useless spam. You have to come to believe that some stuff is spam. But about the Forums Mods. That is bull. They do there jobs just like any other mod/admin here. They handle forums reports. I would seriously re-consider about what you say about Forums Mods.

id have to agree with every1 here seriously it keeps stuff fair plus people make spam post to get their posting rank up with the forum mods doing this it keeps things away from major arguements. =] good job all forum mods=]

If the topic is closed it's (for the most part) for 1 of 4 reasons:

1. A question has been asked and answered.
2. A report has been taken care of.
3. The topic has had nothing but spam, complete and udder spam.
4. A topic was once "good" and then with spam from other posts, other members just built of their previous spam... and the chain would just continue, hence the lock on the topic.

# 4 is usually why topics are closed, because what once was a fine topic someone got into it and started the first spam (maybe such as "Lol") and said nothing else. Then the next person looks at the "Lol" post and tells them to stop spamming (it's not like they will listen to them anyway) and of course this continues the spam off-topic conversation that has nothing to do with the original post from who made the topic.

This chain usually just keeps continuing and to stop all of it, it will be closed.

this forum is one of the neatest ive seen mods keep it clean so that for our certain vistors that ARE under 13 will have a nice place to talk about their favorite game dodian.
