Graphics:
The graphics in Assassins Creed, are just in a league of its own. They are the best of the best. UbiSoft's main aim of this game was to get the graphics right, and I'm sure as hell, they did. Every last detail, down to a piece of dirt, has been designed to have the graphics that other games have lacked. Every city, every shop, every building, looks like the real deal. Jade Raymond also stated that no two faces look the same, well unless you're going to go and look at every person's face, I'm sure that you will find this statement true.

From when you enter a kingdom and to when you leave it. You will just be blown away with the graphics. The graphics draw you in and make you feel like you are looking at the real deal. When you're standing on a view point, the landscape also blows you away. Every mountain, hill are special in it's own way, and right down to the last pixel, is everything detailed.

In my eyes, Assassins Creed has the best graphics (for a game) that I have seen in god knows how long.

Combat System:
The combat system, in AC, is unique and different from other games. It provides you with many different options for each weapon you hold. Example;
On the Xbox 360, when you're in combat, holding down the LT trigger will put you in the counter/defensive position. You will notice that more options have come available to you for when you press a different button. You will be able to counter, dodge, defense break and grab.
To get the full combat system you will need to lock on to your target by holding the RT trigger.

The Combat System provides a different aspect to Assassins Creed that other games truly lack. The way you fight, kill and assassinate people, is unique and makes the game more fun.

Game Time:
Assassins Creed isn't a game where you can complete in 4hours. If you were to complete it in 4hours, I'd call you a hacker. Assassins Creed is a strategic game that requires the intelligence of a human to complete. Everything you decide to do in Assassins Creed will have it consequences. This means you are always thinking about what to do, never to blow your cover and the perfect way to take down your target. I have nothing more to really say about this.

Rating: 8/10

The Artificial Intelligence:

The AI is somewhat believable. The guards have an alert system, that will notify them if something happens. So no matter what you do, you could be spotted. Sure the AI has its glitches. Sometimes you'll assassinate someone in blind daylight and it'll take around 10seconds for the guard to actually say, "KILL HIM!" but this can't be helped. The whole purpose of AC is to be as sly and silent as you can.
You will know what a guard feels by his sword position.
The first stage is when they feel as if nothing if going on and will just walk away. Their sword will not be in their hands.
The second stage of alert is when they know you are there. They'll go into this stage if you run too fast into people, kill someone(without them seeing) and they see the body. They will have their hand on their sword but it'll still be wrapped around their waist(or they'll have it out but will just be walking). When they're in this stage of alert, it is best to blend and get out of the area. Don't run because that'll cause them to see you and then they'll engage in combat.

The third Stage is when they have their sword in their hand and they're chasing after you. When your alert bar starts to flash yellow, it is best to hide in a garden, sit next to people on a seat, blend with scholars or to hide in hay.

Gameplay/Story:

The overall story within Assassin's Creed is set in September 2012. Desmond Miles, a bartender, has been kidnapped by unknown people prior to the start of the game. You are there to aid them in their quest using a new machine called the Animus. The animus is able to extract memories from the DNA of the subject. Desmond was chosen for this mission to relive the memories of his ancestor, Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad (The character you play).

The memories of Altaïr that Desmond experiences start in the year 1191. During the Crusades. As King Richard and Saladin fight, men have been placed in charge of the cities they posses.

The first memory that Desmond experiences, is in Solomon's temple along with two other assassins. They find out that the Leader of the, The Knight's Templar, is there also trying to retrieve the artifact you are looking for. Altaïr tries to kill the Leader but gets separated from his group. Upon returning to the base, he finds out that one of the Assassin's survived, losing his arm and his brother in the process.

Al Mualim (the leader of the Assassins) demotes Altaïr to the lowest rank in the Creed, Uninitiated. But, Al Mualim gives Altaïr an opportunity to redeem himself for his actions. Altaïr must go throughout the holy land, and assassinate 9men. Over time Altaïr will discover more than he should know. But you will just have to play to find out.

Overall:

Overall, Assassins Creed has it all. From the Graphics to the storyline. Assassins Creed will suck you in and make you feel as if you are Altaïr himself. The game has a great combat system, blood, a strategic point of view and a whole lot more! But there is one thing Assassins Creed that has given it bad reviews. The glitches. There are a lot of glitches in the game but if you're one of the lucky ones(like me) you might get a glitch free disc.

The reason there is so many glitches is because Ubisoft had taken 4years to make it and were going to take another year to fix everything and make sure it was alright before releasing. But the gaming community pressured them into releasing it too early.

If you set aside the glitches, this game is a MUST BUY!

Sorry for replying a month after, but this game is fuking sick. Graphics are awesome and so is the story line. I only like rented it for 2 nights and got 800 gamerscore on it lol, too bad it doesn't have online gameplay.

Here's some news, Assassin's Creed 2: Assassinate Harder will be coming out sometime at the end of this year to the beginning of next year, no news on any kind of multi. Assassin's Creed 3: Assassinate with a vengeance is coming out sometime at the end of 2009 to the beginning of 2010, to early to say yet.
