Hi everyone, just here to answer some questions and what to do if you've experienced a few set-backs in-game.
This guide will cover what to do if you or your account has experienced...:
I. Your account has been stolen or you have forgotten your password
II. You have been item scammed
III. You have lost items due to a crash, rollback, or another bug
IV. You've been muted, banned, and // or tradelocked and don't know why
V. Your account is stuck in a bugged area
There are more in the guide that will be explained, those are the key points.
Section I - Your account has been stolen or you have forgotten your password.
If you're sure your account has been stolen by someone or you've forgotten your password, you should try a few things..:
1. First you'll need to head here (http://dodian.com/forums/login.php?do=lostpw) and fill out a lost password form, provide the account name or your email address you registered for it, it should send an Email instantly to your inbox, but it can take up to 10 minutes. If you don't get an Email, that means the thief has changed your password.
2. You should head over to Live IRC chat here (http://www.dodian.com/forums/irc.php) and try to contact a moderator, usually one should be there. You need to be sure that they are a moderator, you can find a complete staff list here (http://dodian.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10757), talk to them and provide as much information as you can to them, they usually will check the I.P. addresses and get your password back.
3. If there is no moderator in IRC, you can try Live Support which can be found on the front page at Dodian.com (http://Dodian.com), you'll be linked to a moderator or administrator in chat if the chat is online.
4. If it's not online, head to www.dodian.com/support (http://dodian.com/support) and you'll be linked to our support center, make a new account and login there and the "Submit a ticket" option will become available, submit your ticket under lost // stolen account and an administrator will review it as soon as possible, although it may take a while so try the first few steps and resort to this last.
Section II - You have been item scammed.
There are a few different ways you could have been scammed, view those ways and how to prevent it in this anti-scamming guide in the guide section (http://dodian.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=42), you need to state a few things and provide some evidence..:
Evidence Needed
Your in-game username
Name of the player you're trading // staking.
What items you agreed to trade // stake in a picture.
What rules and armor you agreed to in a duel in a picture
If you have this evidence head to the Report a Rulebreaker section here (http://dodian.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=97) and create a new topic following the format giving, provide pictures and the other key points you need and a moderator should get to you as soon as possible, even if you aren't able to get items back a moderator CAN punish the other player.
Section III - You have lost items due to a crash, rollback, or another bug.
You cannot receive items back from a rollback as Winten ( Dodian ) is the only root administrator and therefore is the only one who can spawn items, if you have experienced a bug, we're sorry, you won't be getting items back, to read more on this view Webber's original post on losing items to rollbacks here (http://dodian.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9135).
Section IV - You've been muted, banned, and // or trade-locked and don't know why.
Muted
You can be muted for a few different things, such as..:
Using offensive language towards someone
Advertising another server or website
Using an auto-talker
Spamming chat
Abusing the ::yell command channel
Item scamming
Lying to an in-game staff member
Those are all the things you can be muted for, if you haven't done any of those, or so you think you haven't, head to IRC here (http://dodian.com/forums/irc.php) and ask why, usually your mute won't be removed, so just wait it out, it's usually only a 24-hour mute, unless it's been a repetitive process.
Banned
You can be banned from the game for breaking our in-game rules which can be found here (http://dodian.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=109), or our Live Support rules which can be found here (http://dodian.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15313). Being banned is for repetitive mutings of an account, or an even more major offense, usually bans only last 24 hours, unless it is an extreme offense or repetitive, in that case you may be permanently banned on the account, or even IP banned if it's very bad, meaning banned on all of your accounts.
Trade-Locked
You may be trade-locked if you have been thought or known to have duped, item-scammed, or trading Dodian items or accounts for any items or money from any other site, trade-locks can vary depending on what the moderator // administrator has decided for you and usually follows with a mute.
Section V - Your account is stuck in an area, or bugged.
If your account is stuck in an area, just head to the magic tab and teleport out.
If your account is invisible, type ::redesign and you should be able to re-do your characters look and afterwards become visible once more.
If you have experienced a unique bug, head to IRC (http://dodian.com/forums/irc.php) and report it to a moderator, or head to Dodian.com/support and report it here.
