Yeah awhile ago they made an update where if you didn't go on your runescape classic account in 6 months, they don't let you play it anymore.
And yeah you did need to pay for it.

Got mail in my "Jagex mailbox" that since nov 2008, you cant subscribe member status no more... that means, bye rs classic! oh noez...

I used to play RSC until I lost the account and then there was the update to RS2. I lost it :(
I might've been in that picture, I remember that I saw someone around who looked like the dude in the center of the screen. I was probably at the EXTREME upper right hand corner.
Capes were "in" that day. I almost saw everyone wearing a cape. Anyone who didn't wear a cape was a nube.

If you download the SwiftKit Client you get option if you want to play normal RS or RSC (Classic).

Na personally i like to stay far away from runescape website and stay as clost as i can possibly get to the ddoian website:)
