Try getting your thieving up to 70 and than in auburys building climb the ladder, theres a chest that gives 1gp-7k, and sometimes ranger boots and wizzy boots and highway mask etc... if your lucky.
you wont always get though if theres more than 1 person.

also . you can try my method of woodcutting, either alch the logs. magic longbows strung alch for 7002gp ea. thats a big profit.
