OS Got deleted when computer crashed.

Hey everyone just recently my computer crashed and the OS got deleted. So now I am asking everyone what the best OS is, and how much it costs.

k, to start wtf are you talking about cuz if your OS got deleted..... YOU WOULDNT BE POSTING!!!! and second i would recomend vista but if yo have alot of older programs the go with xp.

get vista it costs about 200 but only get it if you have over 4Gb of ram and good graphic and audio cards if not then get xp..

torrent a free copy of XP or get a pirated version from china or the middle east. i used a pirated version on one of my PC's,works fine. the only thing was 30 days into using it the activation thing came up, all you had to do was use the "call microsoft" function instead of the built-in online function. works like a jewel.

also sometimes your computer will give you scary no os found errors when you have a usb device plugged in when you start up

Umm its called use a friend's computer, and thanks for everyone's suggestions. I called Toshiba and they sent me a recovery disc to rollback the computer to whatever date I needed to. So now its working.

Do you have a dual boot system on your computer? If so, you could try to boot MS-DOS or a system recovery. Or just go and buy a new version of XP or that. =]
