You need to work hard to make money and you also need to start on normal logs and then when you reach level 20-25 then you can cut oaks down i think. :)

To cut oaks you need 15 woodcutting
Woodcutting is a really good way of making cash in the begining
in 60+ wcing its good

train wcing at seers only, aswell heres the levels needed for the diferent trees
1-15 normal trees
15-30 willow trees
30-45 maple trees
60-75 yew trees
75-99 magic trees
