Fake Mods...

Ok I'm pretty sure most of you who have played Runescape for a while have at some point discovered that a Moderator isn't a true Moderator without a crown next to their name when they are speaking in the ChatBox.

Some people have messaged me about 5/10 minutes ago telling me that there was this guy named "Mod Simon" In-Game that was trying to take his/her items. Threatening to ban the victim if he didn't follow up with his demands. I do not wish to share the victim's name, even though no items were at loss. The victim obviously didn't know that he's not a true mod if there isn't a crown next to his/her name. So in cases like that, if they don't have a crown, you do not have to be carried under such abusive control like that.

Anytime you see someone with a name like "Mod Simon" but doesn't have a Moderator Crown(White) and is claiming they are a Moderator. Just report them under the option "Dodian Staff Impersonation", Otherwise please be sure to Contact a True Moderator or Administrator ASAP, for as we will be more than happy and willing to take care of that person before undergoing of more abuse occurs.

yes, there are a fre people like that. I have had people saying that "mod (name) has been cussing and saying he's alloud because hes mod.

Only reason a mod wouldn't have a crown ingame is if they are a forum mod, forum mods are:purefire1337,erc0004 and myself.

yes, fourm mods arnt mods in game, they dont have more chance at player mod then any other non fourm mods, they are in control of all fourms. they dont have access to modcp

Well theres no point in saying you are even a Mod. Forum Moderators tend to the Forums not to the Server.

There's a thread in General Discussion I made a while back, which an alert you of the current staff. If they are not in there, but are staff they'll have a crown and I just haven't updated yet.

Another thing to add would be about the Players that claim to be a Staff's "Pure" or "Newb account". If somebody claims this and you are unsure on the matter. Either ask them to go on the account they claim to be or wait till that staff comes online and ask them yourself.

Actually, neither of you are correct. The crown is gray, which isn't silver nor white. If you open up paint and go x8 or x10, you can see yourself. I made Webber a userbar yesterday, and i just looked at the file.
