Alright, so my family finally decided on letting me get a game system.

I was wanting to get an Xbox 360, obviously, but theres a few problems. My parents dont want me spending 300 dollars for the system, so we thought we could buy the used one, with a one year warranty, for $190 USD. BUT, the damn thing doesnt come with a harddrive. Which is 60 dollars.

Im wanting to know from you guys, if I should just try and buy the new system, for $50 USD more, but everything included, or the used one, with warranty and having to buy a harddrive.

This is very confsuing, I know, but any insight would be deeply appreciated.

I'd go for the new one, because it comes with games and stuff. :D And like a free month of X-Box Live!

Buy a new one, it would be more reliable definetly.

X-box live is a must get as well, definetly worth the money.

Well Id have a year warranty on the used one, and microsoft will replace it after the year as long as I have a receipt or proof of purchase.

\= So many things to think about. Thanks though.

Yeah, but my friend bought a used one, and he had troubles with something called, "The Ring Of Death" which is when the x-box overheats, but it's totally your decision, best of luck.

Kek, i'm having a problem like that too. My parents keep thinking I want a PS3, when i fully told them i wanted a xbox360...and they keep saying that the ps3 is better quality and all this crap. All i really want in a system is Gameplay, not freaking blootooth, blue-ray , etc...

You should buy a new one, it's a lot more reliable, and you can't always trust sending it in..:\

Listen to Sherpa, but don't get the xbox arcade, I heard that it has a difference with the original.

Not only it comes with "A" free month of live, it comes with 3

Btw, Keep it in a good air compatible area (Most like to stop red ring)

Hey, Right Now I Am Currently Sending In My Xbox 360 For Repairs, I Got The Red Rings Of Death (Occured From OverHeating) :( But I Can't Wait. I Baught My Xbox On Ebay, And It Was Also Used. It Still Had A Warrenty Though. This Is The Main Thing You Have To Look For In Buying Such An Expensive Console. Xbox Will Repair It For Free, If You Ever Have This Problem. Here Is A List.:)

Main Things When Buying Your First Xbox 360:

Hard-Drive! (Its A Must) :)
Microsoft AV HD Cables
Power Brick And Cord
Ethernet Cable (Unless You Already Have One) (And Also, If Your Getting Xbox Live)
Microsoft Xbox Live Headset (If Your Getting Xbox Live)
At Least One Xbox (Wireless :D) Controller, Wired One Works Also, But I Like Wireless :)
Warrenty (At Least One Year)

Well This Is What I Think, Here You Go.

im thinking of buying one too, so there are our option, try one of them. you have 3 options

1- buy arcade edition that has wireless controller and 256mb mem card, then buy HD when you need it

2- buy refurbished xbox that comes with wirless cont. 20gb HD, and also buy a 1 year warantee for $20 ( you casn buy as many years of warantee as you liek)

3- GameStop has a deal right now, get the brnad new once with a (1 or 3, i forgot) year warantee + wireless cont. + 2 games of your choice under $30 or $40 (i forgot) + 20gb HD

LUCKY FOR ME I FOUND A 1 YEAR + 1 MONTH FREE GOLD XBOX360 LIVE MEMBERSHIP NOT USED IN PERFECT CONDITION ON THE WALMART PARKING LOT! I SAVED $40 WORTH! **** YEH!
