Bleh i couldn't find a tutorial section so i'll put it in here for now. This is my first tutorial so take it easy on me <3
p.s. sorry for the crappy cropping, i was in a bit of a hurry doing this :D
First make a new section, make sure it's transparent.

Next click the brush tool and choose a brush ( I'm going to use splatter but it's up to you) And just brush around a bit. Make sure your on the new transparent layer.

Next after you brushed around a little bit make sure your on the brushed layer and go to layer > transparency > alpha to selection. Then go down to your image layer and duplicate it.

Now hide the brushed layer and click the layer you duplicated before so it should look like this now.

Make sure your on the duplicated layer and go to layer > transparency > add alpha channel then go to select > invert and then edit > cut and select > none. Now you have a clipping mask you can move it around to where it looks good now and your done :D
