Jagex f***s up again

today the dueling tournament arena came out, underneath the regualer duel arena, noone has a problem with it besides that 60s might have to vs 120s but the major problem is that jagex ****ed up the old duel arena by doing this:

Duel Arena Changes:

We have made some necessary changes to the above-ground staked and friendly duels of the Duel Arena:

* There is now a cap to the amount a player can win in the space of 15 minutes in a staked duel, which is set to 3,000 coins. This limit will make it harder for real-world traders to unfairly use the Duel Arena as a covert way of transferring items. Of course, if you want to take part in some high-stakes duelling you now have the duel tournaments instead!
* The gp value of any item wagered in a staked duel is defined by the 'player value'. This 'player value' of an item will change according to any market fluctuations once the Grand Exchange has been introduced.
* Logging out of a staked duel will mean that you have forfeited the match, and the staked items will go to your opponent.
* Stats boosted before entering a duel will reset to their normal value at the start. You can still use potions during the duel, provided they haven't been disallowed.

3k gp per 15 minutes is the max that you can stake.....

this is to prevent real world money traders, jagex being stupid doesnt realize that there is stil tons of ways to do it such as the wild or drop trading or jsut plain trading.

they ****ed up RS once again with an update trying to focus on scamming and breaking the rules instead of the needs of their players.

They made the wildy trench because people were luring others, not to piss you off. They nerfed PC because it was too easy to get levels and pures were going in and getting 99 str when they do ****. And i'm SURE they have a good reason for this, they aren't retarards they know what they are doing.

...That's Jagex for you, always messing up the game so one gold selling business can't sell gold that well, while making about 200,000 other people suffer in duel arenas due to gold sellers now they'll be yelling this in there "Zomg i'm gonna stake 3k gp max cap get it while it's hot!" next thing they're gonna do is disable chat completely. I don't see why they can't inable real world trading for virtual items, it wouldn't cause any harm to the game other then damaging some of the economy. But theres more then 200,000 people it wouldn't kill the economy to bad, but I don't think they should damage dueling so bad so a few gold businesses can't trade gold that way. Theres tons of ways they can sell gold without it being detected. Like trading a few items for the gold that the person purchased, going into edgeville wild while the gold seller is there and killing that person to get the gold, dropping the gold so the buyer can get it, trading the gold to a noob char then give the noob char good items for the gold, then in 1 day giving the items back. Such simple ways..next thing ya know there'll be no trading or dropping at all. ;|

They don't want you to real world item trade because it's the rules, and respect them. If some people break the rules, everyone will pay, so its NOT jagex's fault and the people that auto/real world item trade.

Lol, i don't think they messed up Runescape with the Duel Update (even though i lost on the first guy in the tourament :() I think that this will teach ppl to LEVEL UP SKILLS NOW! Can't always get money by staking, or merchanting :P

And i actually like the new Duel Arena, as well as Pest Control :D

Actually , runescape counts over 15 million players 1.2 million members , and it would harm the economy badly because there will be less runescape money in game.allowing less players to be able to buy them resulting in a heavy price drop.

It's so rare to see an rs player actually take time and thank Jagex for their updates now. I guess you guys weren't around but they've come a LONG way since early rs + rsc. Staking was a huge way to RL trade and it's good they're starting to do something about it. Maybe they'll raise the limit to like 5m so it's fairer.

For once I just wish people would be thankful for their updates lol - they could just take your money and give you absolutely nothing and rs could still look like rsc, but it doesn't. From what i've read they're doing alot of good updates and it's annoying to hear people say " jagex ****s up again jagex is so ****ty " but then go and play their game all day long.

That's why I quit, althought i have plenty money of items on there i'll probly just give it away.
It was going well for a while but the kept screwing up on stuff. I was a level 87 with about 12M, the updates were good but I got so tired of people. Talking crap, Calling people, "noobs" (Which infact I hate that word).
But, All-Over-All it just took to damn long to level up.
I feel you though. :P
