Before I tell you what you should get, tell me these things: What bit is your version of Windows XP?
What is your mobo and does it have PCI-e 16x slots?
How much do you have to spend?
What Watt is your PSU?

Or get a EVGA 680i SLI mobo and get 8gb of SLI memory and Windows Vista Ultimate 64x!! Only then will you truely fly. :D

To bad most motherboards as well as Windows versions cannot even support that much RAM.
ehhh, tbh...I like NVidias 8800 GTX gpu's alot better especially if you have dual ones...because if you have a fast enough computer and enough RAM your computer will be able to display the best graphics in the computer industry today. Why, look at the new FPS Crysis, with my ultra fast comp and dual nvidias, it runs Crysis at 65 FPS and has NO LAG what so ever even at Maximum settings.

Lies, nothing runs Crysis well on Full with todays hardware. However, when NVIDIA releases thier new 9 series, we should be able to.

Thats where Intel and nForce motherboards and 64-bit versions of Windows come in.

Radeon cards are good and they are fairly cheap but I would recommend NVIDIA just from personal experience.
If you want to get a Radeon card, I would recommend the 2900 series or if your looking for that little bit extra, you could go with the 3800 series.
If you want to get a NVIDIA card, I would recommend the 8800 series, the 9 series cards should be coming out around Feburary-March, so people will be selling their 8 series cards on eBay fairly cheap franticly trying to get some money together to get a 9 series card.
Hope I helped.
