I think it does, in some. Some people are stereotypical though. rap means ur a gangster heavy metal means ur a emo/rocker...what ever lmao i listen to a bit of everything

I don't think it does entirely. I mean, I listen to a lot of things that have a lot of lyrics for example that don't fit me at all. I think we all listen to songs that might fit our personality but not enough to say that music in general shows it.
