PS3

I'm thinking about getting a ps3, I have a 360 and don't want a WII. I didn't have PS1 or PS2 so I don't know much about it, can anyone tell me anything about the system and some games i should think about getting?

Well the ps2 sold more than 96 million consoles since the year 2000, while the xbox sold something like 25 million consoles, i'm not saying xbox were better then ps2, I guess the ps2 was more popular, and the fact that they are still selling them.

The ps3 includes:
- High-definition DVD player
- Blu-ray ( if you know what that is)

If history is a guide, the first standalone Blu-ray DVD players were to cost $1,000 or so.

Ps3 also has nVidia to supply the graphics engine in the ps3.

And yeah, people say they're silent compared to the xbox 360, and better looking. Who knows.

Anyway, the ps3 I guess is for more adventurous games out there, such as the ps2 had the final fantasy's kingdom of hearts etc, while the xbox 360 has lots of shooting, action type games.

So yeah, posted a little bit of info on it to help you out.

Hmm. The games I would recommend for the PS3 would be Assasins Creed, Ridge Racer, Resistance: Fall of Man and the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII (should be epic)

heres some games u should get if u get 1, warhawk very fun online only game and its only $40 and it comes with a blu-tooth headset.
call of duty 4 would be my next chose, awsome campain and the multiplayer cant be beat.

Its Weird because theyve made that song about the ps3 saying how crap it is and then when i played it it was bloody amazzing , id say screw the 360 get a ps3

Just another way for apple to make money, all you need is a video, I have the 2004 model 20gig, and it works better then my video did.

i bought a new 40 inche widescreen tv yesterday and they delievered it today and it caame with a free ps3 console i didnt know about it until my mum told me at the last minute lol i was jumping around like a kid thats gone hypo

Actually, no. The PS3 is not ownage compared to those, because the PS2 is much better. If you would want to get a system, get a PS2 (but he probably already got PS3). For a price tag of 400$, there arent many "awesome" games that you could get only for it. Most games like Assasin's Creed, GH3, Rock Band, are on 360 as well. The 360 also looks great, and I dont need to pay more for a few pixels looking better. I also, dont plan on buying blue-ray DVD's anytime soon, mainly because they are more expensive, and it doesnt make it look that much better.

Also, the PS3 looks like a George Foreman grill... But the problem is, they didnt add the feature of grilling.

I would get a PS3 just for FFXIII and to add more to the debate, what you spend on a PS3 is far more than what you could get with a computer.

Xbox 360 Is more for the shooting,gun games
Play station is more for sporting games,
If you like halo and **** , stay with xbox , and dont waist your money
If you want like nhl,nba,nfl, stuff like racing sporting, get ps3,
