vB installation help.

Hey guys, my friend gave me a vBulletin file, I don't know if its cracked or whatever you call it.

But how do you like install it to your forum, I can only do php and smf forums.
I have no experience with installing vB.

Help needed, kthnx.

Upload it to your website through ftp. Then follow the on-screen installation located at http://yoursite.com/install/install.php. If it is a cracked copy however, it would be illegal and you can get a harsh punishment for it.

Minimum is 5 years, and max is 15, 750 to 17k fine, and your internet will be disabled along with anyone within your household. (If you find a way to access the internet and they catch you it doubles and its a federal offense if you do that.)

Its very easy to get busted on internet.

I wouldn't listen to the people above you as they don't know what they're talking about. You have to open up your vBfiles and edit config.php.new"and insert your mySQL details in that file and then after you do that save it and rename the file to config.php and upload it to your webhost and then install it. Also this is in the wrong board as this doesn't have to do with computers at all.

I personally never got busted or fined for using nulled software. Jelsoft just contacted my host, and shutdown my forums, thats about all they can do.

The only time they will slap a fine on your forehead, is if you enter your real contact information with your webhost, otherwise they cannot locate you.

Umm that was kind of a pointless response. Btw David321 you are complete fail. If the domain provider was contacted they are required by law to use your contact information, if that is invalid then they have the right to get your ip and give it to the authorities.
