Signature making tips
Well I was almost done once but it got erased so I'll have to start over again.
Alright, I can't offer an actual signature tutorial but what I can offer is a little tip guidebook for all those signature makers out there. In this tip guide, I'll explain some points that are important to focus on when making signatures.
Alright, the first thing to a signature is the render. You always want to choose a render that has something in it that you like, unless your in a compition that has specifiied and specific topic, other than that, you might want to choose a render that has a Tv or Movie character that you like, maybe even a cartoon character or game character.
And people mainly get their renders at: http://planetrenders.net/renders/
And to get the render, you need to register on the render site and once you find a render using the search, click the image that you want to use and you will be taken to another page with a larger version of that image. Click that and a window will pop up with your image even larger, right click and save that.
Another thing that really, I mean really effects a signature is its' color. When working with the colors, you want to use colors that flow, or go in rythmn, with the render. Try not to use colors such as pink, unless the render has pink in it, because colors like that will distract from the render, and that is one thing the experienced people look at, trust me, I still get judged on that.
Now, that was mainly for the background. Now for boarders, you want to use something that goes again, in flow, with the render or background.
Just make sure that the colors blend together well, that is the main thing.
Alright, effects are a great factor also. When choosing effects such as C4D's (C4D's will be explained later in the guide) you again, want to make sure that they go along with the render/background, but try not to get it exactly the color of the background or it won't show up very well.
Now, I mentioned a C4D, woah, big word. A C4D is just another name for an effect picture. These go into the background to help make textures and other things. Examples are C4D's are:
- http://planetrenders.net/renders/thumbnails.php?album=10
These are all things you want to take into account when making a signature. I may add a little more to this guide but this looks good for now since it covers alot of the basic things you want.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see you advance in GFX Artist,
