Took me 2 days roughly, i was running low on ideas.

John pulled into his driveway, and got out of his car, then layed on his hood. Wow, I can't believe this, she actually said yes! he exclaimed in his mind. A Saturday night date. What could be greater? Well, perhaps more, he trailed off thinking of Caroline, and the night ahead of him. He finally went into the house, and layed on the kitchen floor, smelling like Pine-Sol. His mother walked up to him, carrying a basket of clothes.

"What are you doing on the floor?" She asked confoundedly, at her sixteen year old son laying spread eagle on the floor.

"I had a great day," He said, almost out of breath, still in a daze at Caroline, and the smell of Pine-Sol making him lightheaded. "You see, there is this girl that i've been talking to, and, well, I asked her out on a date, and she said yes!" He turned to lay on his back, and stared up at his mother, to see her staring outside.

"Well, did you ask me if you could do this?" she asked, in a completely different tone then her last sentence.

"Huh? I thought that you would be okay with it, you normally are..." He trailed off in an angry tone. Tears begun to fill his eyes, as his plans were beginning to falter, until he looked up at her.

"No no no, don't be crying you big baby!" she shouted. He started to laugh, while wiping what tears he did have off his face, and noticed that she was laughing too. "I was only joking, John, you can go out tomorrow, just know your dad and I would love to meet this girl you're laying on my floor for." She walked away with a satisfied look on her face, that she had scared her son, and provided an ample amount of joke in her voice that would let him know he was okay to date. John smiled, for he knew his moms tricks, and was used to them. He wiped the rest of his fake tears away, and chuckled to himself again.

He got up off the floor, and went up into his room. He layed down and turned on his laptop, and started to browse the internet for locations nearest him. He finally found the correct site, and began running down the site, like a mad dog chasing his prey. In about two minutes time, he found the spot he wanted to take Caroline. He closed his laptop, and layed back against his pillow. What a great day, he pondered upon himself. Not only did i manage to score a date with Caroline, I also am home free with not getting grounded. Then it hit him. What if she wanted to kiss? I'm so not ready for that, he thought rapidly, as the dream hit him again. That was so smoothly planned, and I haven't even kissed a girl. Oh no. He slid underneath his pillow and thought all the thoughts now draining into his brain. I really hope i don't screw this up, she's so high maintanance compared to most of the girls I talk to, and they're high maintanence to begin with!

"Damn, I should've thought about all this before letting my heart get the better of me!" he muttered under his breath, trying not to sound like a lunatic. I better get some sleep, he concluded, as the night sky was approaching fast. He turned over, and fell asleep. He awoke with a start, as his mother opened the door forcefully yelling,

"My boy has a date today, wake up wake up!" John grumbled like usual, and looked at his clock. 1:00 PM. How the hell did I sleep that long? he thought to himself, before rolling out of bed. He picked himself up off the ground, and struggled to make it to his closet. What should i wear? he asked himself. After about 10 minutes of pondering, he pulled out a polo shirt, and a pair of blue denim jeans. He walked into the shower, and turned the water on. Steam begun to fill the room, as the hot water had begun to scald. He hit the button, and switched the shower on, and turned the cold water on slightly, to his pleasure. He undressed and stepped in the shower, and felt the hot water knock the dirt and grime from him.
About 10 minutes of scrubbing and washing, he was out of the shower, feeling like a new man. He threw the new clothes on, and begun to groom himself. He shaved his face first, only nicking underneath his chin, as his razor wasn't the best in the world. After patching it up, he managed to comb his hair into what seemed like a short job, but because of his hair having minor conflictions, it took nearly twenty minutes to get it the way he liked it. He walked out of the bathroom, and went downstairs to get into his car. It was a mess, from never taking care of it too much; he was too lazy to care. But it was Caroline, he thought, and he felt the need to impress her even more-so then normal. He started in the back seat, picking out some old soda cans, fast food bags, and some of his football equipment. Throwing the garbage in a bag and his stuff on the side of his car, he managed to get the backseat done relatively fast. The passenger seat was the bigger of the problem, as it was closer for him to throw things. Cans littered up to the seat, as well as mail he didn't like, and friends cigarettes. Guess i'll have to get an air freshener too, he thought. After he was finished with the passenger seat, he found an air freshener in his glove box, and stuck it to his rear-view mirror. He tossed the garbage bag into the can nearly twenty feet away, like a basketball star would, and tossed his belongings in the back again. He took a walk to the pond behind his house, being careful to not let his mother or father see him, as they both disliked when he went back there; he went there for hours. He opened the gate slowly, and quickly walked through it, relocked it, and proceeded across the rotten bridge.

He stepped over the fallen tree, and proceeded up the mountainous path. He noticed a small fawn drinking from the pond as he neared closer, but he stepped upon a twig, and the fawn, frightened, ran away. John shook his head, and walked over the pond and sat down. Maybe someday, if me and her can get something going, I can take her here, it's such a nice place. He laid back against a rock, to rest his head, and let Caroline fill his brain yet again. This was starting to become a routine, Caroline in his head. Anytime he wanted to tune something out, or ran out of things to think about, it was she whom filled his mind. It was a few hours before he realized it was getting late, and that he should call her, to make sure she was ready. He looked at his hand.

"Damn!" he swore angrily, as the numbers were faded, and he could barely make them out. He dialed the number to the best of his judgment, and listened. One ring...two rings...three rings...

"Hello?" a familiar voice answered.
"Caroline?" John asked.
"Yeah, this is she, who's this?" she returned.
"John, was just calling to see how you were, and if you were ready yet," he replied.
"Oh, hey John!" he noticed a sort of high pitch to her voice. "Yeah, I'm almost ready, you can come over right now if you want, I just have to do my hair."
"Alright, I'll be over there, just give me a little bit."
"Okay, talk to you later then," Caroline said quietly.
"Bye," John said.
"Bye."

He heard her phone click, and knew the conversation was over. He ran out of the woods, jumped over the gate, and got his jacket hanging by his car. He jumped into the car, and felt the engine roar as the ignition clicked. He tore out of his driveway, beeping the horn to tell his mother goodbye. His tires were spinning the moment his car touched asphalt. He was on a mission. John got to her house, in what he would think would be seconds, but was actually a half hour. He walked up to the door, and rang the doorbell. He heard footsteps, and shuffling...The door opened.

It sounds good, and I can't wait to see it in its completed form. Although you have more errors than I would have expected from you, it's still good. ;)

I'll rate the whole piece after I've read it, but 8/10 is the score I'm giving to Chapter 2.

By the way, you make the girl sound hot.

you caught me guiz.

I've been delayed on my progress with Chapter 3. Much has to do with the fact i've been working, doing some stuff...partying a little bit..and hanging out with people :P.

It also has to do with the fact that I'm currently thinking up chapter 3.

I don't know what should be put in it. Hopefully what I'm thinking at this moment is right.

:] thanks for being supportive
