I have this three-page research paper due this Friday and I can't even come up with an introduction. My preference of a good first sentence of an introduction is a question. The topic that I am doing is military conscription and why it is a bad idea.
My three thesis ideas:
Supply tax cut incentive instead of forcing people to join.
Deal with the number of current soldiers by training them harder.
Create/Use technology to do the fighting for the soldiers.
Help is greatly appreciated.

Rachel already stated what type of starting she wanted. I think she wants us to make an opening paragraph for her. Is that right?
I might try.

Well, I need ideas on how to do my introduction. I want it to be as original and well-written as it can possible be. Also, it has to be relatively long as it is a three-page paper.

Military conscription can be both overwhelming and heart-breaking for most individuals. Military Conscription may bring in the most soldiers and may also be the most effective way to do so, but by forcing individuals to join something that does not particularly appease them can bring out the most lenient and ignorant state of minds. Studies show use that when individuals are forced to handle a job rather than be given the choice, the value of the work you receive from them falls drastically. by rewarding individuals with tax cuts would not only give them a reason to join, but it would also help restore the current state of economy we are in.
Good so far? It was a quick jot-down, let me know if this was what you are looking for or want me to expand upon it.
