Rules & Punishments:
Advertising
Any form of Advertising results in a one day G:Line. Such as:
Website URL's
Server IP's
Hamachi Servers
IRC Networks
External download links
Spamming
Any form of spamming. Even using the big-text script would fall under this. Will result in anything from a temporary channel ban to a 10-30 minute G:Line. (Depending on circumstance)
Impersonation
Use YOUR Dodian name, if you choose to impersonate someone you'll be banned.
Respect others
IRC is where everyone comes to chat freely, we don't want some self absorbed jerk in there breaking our rules. If you plan to do it, have a nice ban. Moderators can ban you at any time for breaking the rules with NO WARNING, seeing as these rules are your warning.
Use your Brain
The most important rule of all, USE COMMON SENSE and stay out of trouble.
Cloning
This means when a user logs onto two accounts at the same time on the IRC Network. It's not tolerated and IRC Operators will know immeditally.
Offences:
30 minute G:Line, Z:Line, or GZ:Line
1 day G:Line, Z:Line, or GZ:Line
Permanant G:Line, Z:Line, or GZ:Line
Scripts
Any script that involves users knowing. If you want to use these, don't use them in #Dodian, or any other official channel. Such as: Greeting scripts, Big-text scripts, etc. will not be tolerated. Same consequences as Spamming.
Bots (User-created)
Bots/Botnet's are prohibited. Any use or connection of these on Dodian's IRC will result in a permanant GZ:Line or G:Line.
Note: Using these bots to spam, advertise, or distribute viruses will result in the bots being banned from the network. You might also be banned from the Server and Forums.
Racism
Any form of racism that involves spam won't be tolerated. Such as using a script to create giant swastikas. Will result in a channel ban.
Punishments:
Kick - User's removed from the channel. Can be done by Owner's, SOP's, Op's, and HalfOp's.
Mute - User's muted from the channel. Anything they type can't be seen. Can be set by Owner's, SOP's, Op's, and HalfOp's.
Channel ban (+b) - Prevents user from re-joining a channel. Can be set by Owner's, SOP's, Op's, and HalfOp's.
Akick - Auto kick & ban on join. Can be added by SOP's and Owner's.
IRCop's Only:
G:Line - Prevents a users host, IP, or mask from connecting to the server.
Z:Line - Prevents an IP from connecting to the server. (IP Ban)
GZ:Line - Global Z:Line. Prevents an IP from connecting to the network.
K:Line - Prevents a nickname, host, or username from connecting to the server.
Q:Line - Prevents a nickname from being used.
Ranks:
Channel Ranks:
~ = Owner - Owner of the channel. Can give all ranks, set access, kick, ban, add people to akick, and edit channel settings. Has full access of services.
& = Server Admin (SOP) - Can give the ranks: Sop, Op, HalfOp, and Voice. Can kick, ban, and add people to akick. Can also give access. (Permanant ranks)
@ = "Op" Channel Operator (AOP) - Can give the ranks: Op, HalfOp, and Voice. Can kick & ban. Limited access to services
% = HalfOp (HOP) - Can kick & ban. No access to services.
+ = Voice (VOP) - Can chat while channel is moderated. (+m)
Important: In #Dodian - NEVER ask Mastav for ranks. You'll be kick-banned from the channel.
