Recently announced his (S)exual orientation(gay), during an interview for the Rolling Stone magazine. The shocking part is not that he happened to be gay, but that he willingly spoke out for himself after months of pressure from the media, and MANY curious fans. For those of you who do not know him, he was the runner-up of American Idol this year. It was really obvious from the beginning that he was gay, but I don't think that it is as big of a deal as everyone makes it. Personally, I thought that he should have won the contest, but several events happened that may have hindered his chances.
1)Katy Perry's outfit, embroidered with his name, on the back.
2) Vote for the Worst's choice of Kris Allen, causing all of the supporters of the semi-popular website to vote against Adam.
3)The final key that sealed his fate, was the question of his orientation, that made a large percentage of voters, not vote for him.

Actually no, Danny Gokey was a huge surprise to be eliminated in the Top 3. Most fans of him went to Kris Allen, because they're A LOT more similar than Danny to Adam. It was really close even then, and them mostly going to Kris was the deciding factor.

Although, Adam has the better talent by far.

I agree. Adam has a better voice and has more talent than Kris, but it doesn't matter anymore.

I had no idea that Adam was like that, but in reality, does it really matter? No, he didn't win the contest. Yet, that's actually better for him. The American Idol winner contract sucks and is actually not very good for the winner at all. It seems that the runners-up do better anyway. (With the exception of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood who both have more success than their opponent.) In the end, Adam is better off not winning. He's still going to go somewhere with his music career, he's still going to be somebody. He'll just have a heck of a lot better contract.

Being british, i have'nt watched it. Plus I dont like the show. YET, I watched some on youtube after seeing this thread and he has an amazing voice.

As for being homo***ual, im not a fan of them but it shouldnt make a difference what he is. Hes as equal as the next person.
