What's your favorite Non-Fiction book? Alot of non-fiction books aren't that great so when you find a good one, it's a really good one.

My favorite Non-Fiction book is Night by Elie Wiesel. It's the true story of a boy and his family's struggle through the Holocaust. It's a good read because although it's all true, it sounds like something you'd find in a Fiction book. It is a good book with lots of turns and twists of fate, and it really makes you think about things. I'd suggest anyone looking for an AP English book to read, to read this one. My AP English class had it on their suggested books list, and I found it to be quite enjoyable.

Les Miserables

Good pick, but why did you choose that particular one?

To Kill a Mockingbird

Chose it just because of all the detail that I found in that particular book. Just reading the book would give you a sense of feeling (sensitivity) for what they were going through. If you read it, you would know what I'm talking about.

I think it's just To Kill a Mockingbird. Plus, I'm almost entirely sure that the book is fictional. It's just highly realistic. Good book though.

Oh, really?

I swear it said non-fictional, oh well. Have you gotten through it all?

I chose Les Miserables because I was in the play at Opelika High School Performing Arts Center. So I thought I might as well read it and I got hooked. :)

As of right now, my favorite non-fiction book is called Outliers, but Malcolm Gladwell. It basically tells you stories of successful people who really made a difference or stuck out in the world (hence the title), and the odd circumstances that got them there. It tells about how in order to be successful, you have to be dedicated and a bit lucky (there's a section on Bill Gates I found incredibly interesting).

I liked a few of Gladwell's other non-fiction books as well, though...The Tipping Point and Blink were very interesting. If you happen to read Outliers and you like it, then you'll like both of those books.

That's fiction. This thread's title is Favorite Non-Fiction.
My favorite Non-fiction books are probably some autobiographies and some books about people who lived through the Holocaust.

Colin your so Bull :)
you are probably reading that book in school atm and its the first one that jumped into your head. I found that book intresting but highly boreing to a regular Teenager. And from a class of 32 only about 3-5 people liked it.

The rest, even though sad. Laughed at that poor "Redneck" girl who accused a black man of rape, when she was to ugly to acually "Get some".

But onto the Topic,

I would have to say my favorite Non-Fictional Book would have to be, Black Boy

Yes i also read this in my English Class but i enjoyed it allot as well as all of my class mates, it was quite funny at some parts but sad towards the end.

Over all the Kid was a BEAST!

Like come on, one quote i remember from it was, (might not be word for word) "Grandma don't forget to scrub down there" It was when Richard, was being bathed by his some what "christian" grandma. And he was implying that she should not foget to scrub/wash his private parts as some kind of "*****" Oh boy did he get spanked in the next paragraph :D
