I know they're seen as pretty childish books, well not childish...But aimed at children, but I actually really love the series of books.
I finished the last book, which was the Deathly Hallows a month or two ago, and I've read the previous books too.
What's your view on the Harry Potter series?

I have read through each one of them, they were fantastic. I just love the author's style of writing them, it really kept me interested.

I couldn't agree more, I mean c'mon, the author of the series is a complete genius, the characters, the plots, it'd take ours on end to think those up.

I'm a fan of the chamber of secrets. The book enthrilled me to see the movie.

I loved them. By far my favorite series of all time. I've read quite a few series' popular mostly to kids and teenagers, and Harry Potter tops them all.

I loved them. She put so much work into the series and it pained me to see it just end. :(
The series definitely tops all other series. :)
I'm waiting on the 2-part final movies! :D

Like yourself, I love the series of books, they're so well written.
The 3rd is my favourite.
I loved them, they are all very good stories.
I was sad to hear when the final book in the series came out, but I liked how Rowling wrapped it up all nicely.
I hope Rowling will make another book series as good as this one.

I think that harry potter is only aimed at children because of all the "magical fantasy"
Most adults wouldn't be interested in a book about a magical wizard school, with flying cars, giant lizards, and quitich.
Although maybe harry potter was just written and whatever generations liked it best was what JK Rowling " guided " it towards...
i still love harry potter even at 16 years old

Harry Potter is far from "just a child's book". It is in depth and, until you have experienced certain aspects of adulthood, there are certain issues that the story raises that you may not understand.
