My Wireless is Connected, yet the Internet Doesn't Work.

I would try to fix it using my dad's computer because that's where everything dealing with the internet is hooked up to but I don't know his computer password.

Ok, so...I have a Motorola wireless internet modem which is connected to my linksys wireless internet 4-way router.

Everything is turned on, and my laptop connects to it and all....but my internet system is not receiving or sending out enough packets to make my internet go past enough. I gotta sit here and wait about 15 minutes for a page to finish loading halfway.

Usually my internet sends and recieves a lot more then it is right now and I have no clue how to fix it.

Anybody know anything that may help me?

EDIT: I am using Windows XP.

- Nero.

Hmm, is it like this 24/7?

I have a wireless modem. It plugs into my USb port. Depends how many people around are trying to use the internet around me usually, or how much im using it.

My laptop is one of those newer HP models that have built in internet USB's I believe.

I've had this problem a few times before and somehow it got fixed. I just can't remember how.

Only 4 computers use this internet, although only my laptop is using it right now...so 1 right now.

Hm.

All I can say is to make sure the security isn't set wierd, so that you arn't allowed in.

What type of internet card are you and the router using? If the router is N+ and you have G, your screwed.
