1.0 - Introduction
Welcome to my guide :) Here I will explain how and where to make&train
your perfect Obby Pure. Lately, there are more and more Obby pure's in RuneScape's PvP zones, why? Because they own! Low combat but still hitting very hard! What would you like more to PK with? Enjoy my guide :)

2.0 - Choosing your perfect name
My oppinion about names is that it doesn't contain any numbers. like: Maul9
so avoid them at any cost! A name without numbers sounds more beautifull.
Also, DO NOT put ANYTHING that relates to Obby Mauling in your name.
That ruïns the whole pixel life of your pure. Why? Obby mauling is mostly about surprising your victim with your hardcore-pwning Obsidian weapon.

3.0 - Types of Obby Pures
http://i43.tinypic.com/281e8u9.pnghttp://i39.tinypic.com/ih4pph.png 1 Attack Obby Pure: The most players do this. It is a good choice but you can only use 1 Melee Weapon: the obby maul, which is very slow. But as it doesn't take any cb lvls. But it hit's very much at a low cb lvl.

http://i41.tinypic.com/2upa0dg.pnghttp://i39.tinypic.com/ih4pph.png Obby Ranger: These pures usualy use darts/knives when Pking. First they lower the HP of the victem to 1/2, and afterwards try to get a KO with their Obby Maul. This kind of pures are very affective.
http://i44.tinypic.com/k5moj.pnghttp://i39.tinypic.com/ih4pph.png Tank Obby Pure: This type of pure has 40+ defence, or 60+defence. As their combat stays limited you can have good defence, and a good strength bonus at the same time, while your combat is not very high.
Also, these pures can wear armor that boosts their strength bonus critically.

4.0 - Equipment
Weapons:

A very basic weapon.
PROS: easily obtainable.
CONS: not the best weapon that you could use as an Obby Pure.

The most used weapon by Obby Maulers. It only requires 1 attack and has a better attack&strength bonus then the Iron scimitar.
PROS: More accurate than an iron scimitar.
CONS: hard to obtain.

The very best weapon for an obby mauler. This weapon only requires 1 attack and only has slightly less attack&strength bonus then the Rune Scimitar.
But, it requires 55 Slayer.
PROS: as fast as a Whip, almost the same bonus as Rune Scimitars, very good accuracy for only being 1 attack.
CONS: needs 55 slayer to wield.

This is a damaged zammy book with all 4 torn pages attached. The zammy book can be obtained by completing the Horror From The Deep quest. It gives +8 to all attack bonuses and +4 prayer bonus.
PROS: gives good attack bonus.
CONS: quest may be hard for some, Torn pages cost 300K - 400K each. (900K - 1.2M Total).

The Fury is almost a NEED for an obby mauler while training to 60 strength. It has very much accuracy, which is more needed then Strength.
PROS: very good attack and defense bonus.
CONS: costs 2.5M - 2.7M

Obtained by completing 5 subquests from the Recipe For Disaster quest.
PROS: gives a +6 strength bonus, only cost around 2.5k each, best gloves for a 1 defense pure
CONS: Needs some time to obtain.

WEAPON: red topaz machete > iron scimitar
HELMET: iron full helm
AMULET: fury > glory > power > strength
PLATE: iron
LEGS: d'hide chaps > iron
SHIELD: unholy book > iron
BOOTS: iron > leather
GLOVES: mithril > regen bracelet > combat bracelet > regular gloves
RING: warrior > berserker
CAPE: trimmed 99-Stat cape > Obsidian cape (Same stats as an Untrimmed 99-Stat cape) > regular

5.0 - Training spots
The training spots for an Obby mauler are VERY limited!

1-40 Strength
Kill monks in the monastery. ( West of Edgeville )

1-60 Strength
Obby Pures only PK in the wilderness, So you'd better get members! The best and probably only training spot for Obby Maulers: Rock Crabs.

60-99 Strength
Now you can train with a berserker necklace and obby maul at rock crabs. I wouldn't suggest training on experiments because their defense bonuses are just too high for 1 attack to hit often enough.

6.0 Journey to 55 Slayer
Getting your way to 55 slayer will be hard. Push yourself through it, it is very boring, but once you achieve it its very usefull when training.
SOME USEFULL TIPS:
-Don't take breaks for PKing, otherwise you won't come back for slayer.
-Use all your genie lamps or Books of Knowledge on SLAYER.
-DON'T use an obby maul for slayer. It only gives you 1K-2K xp per hour, while magic&range can give you 4K-8K xp per hour.

What does a berserker necklace do?
It allows you to hit 20% more with obsidian weapons (Obby Maul), but it takes away about 10 attack and 20 defense bonus.
