I'm screaming for help, but nothing is getting through.
My emotions are locked away and bottled up, far from reality.
I cannot tell anyone how I'm feeling, but my heart tells me I should.
I need to calm down, and release myself from this mental prison.
Deep breaths helped, and now I'm reading to speak out.
My emotions swifty fly out of my soul, like my last breath being released.

Seeing as I just found this and didn't have time to write anything new, here is an older work of mine.

The Perfect Night

My mind is racing,
My palms are sweaty,
The thoughts are whisking me away.

Your eyes so dark,
Your lips so sweet,
Baby I'm here to stay.

The sky is black,
The night is cold,
My mind is now in dismay.

I wonder now,
As I have wondered before,
Why aren't you here to stay?

This isn't really old, you can still find it in submissions on the first or second page, but i like it.

Quiet but piercing voices in my head incessantly speak to me.
Sometimes, I choose to reciprocate, when I feel so abandoned.
Hair tugging, skin ripping, glazed-eyed day.
Emotions flow through me like a waterfall in full-motion, crashing against my walls that I have built steadily over my lifetime.
Tears slice small indents down my cheeks, they appear bright red.
Miserable emotions are harbored deep down inside, waiting for release.
I perch at the window, blinded by the bright light.
I cannot remember the last time I functioned as a normal person.
As I stare out, so on-edge, I spot a small red bird.
It chirps gleefully so, that I want to cover my ears, it pierces through me.
It glides away so suddenly, I am startled.
I am alone once more, free to rob all joyful thoughts & feelings from myself.

It's raining outside and I couldn't care less
My head is throbbing and my room's a mess
My teeth are rotting and I'm losing my hair
My stomach hurts, yet I still don't care.
It's not that I'm in a fantastic mood
Or that I just ate a plate of tasty food
I'm not happy or sad or full of hate
Life's not terrible, but it's not great
'Default' is what describes it best
As if I just made a B-minus on a test
My girlfriend is overflowing with stress
And although she nags, she's ok I guess
Today is simply an average day for me
I'm completely indifferent, as you can see.
