what I want to know, What do you want to know o.O??

is the price worth it? Personally, for a laptop. No.. Unless you absolutely have the money to spare.

if your a windows user whats your biggest dislike about mac that windows has I'm not sure i follow. But if i hate something about mac it would be the Way their menus are setup. I just cant stand it, my whole teenage life i used windows os. (talking about the regular mac. Non windows installed on it.

Ive herd windows OS runs better on mac, now thats probably not true? I have no idea, but you can try googleing?

what do you think the biggest Program that works on windows but not mac? Ohh that's easy, Silab Clients. lul

where Should I buy my Macbook if I do get one, I don't want to buy it locally so I don't have to pay Sales tax lol. Probably Oregon, since its the only "Sales Tax Free" State? (i think). But no matter what, you still pay tax's online. Even EBAY!

Favorite program you can only get on Mac No idea.

Edit: Fix the polling options, the question doesn't seem to fit, a Yes/No answer.

will I never use Silab Clients lol, and I do have the money to spare. I don't get what you mean buy change the poll lol, what I'm asking is if you had the choice to get a free mac laptop or a free windows laptop both would cost you 2k if you bought them.

The poll says: Would you get a Mac or Windows, price is not a factor. I don't think that can be answered with a yes or no.

whats your favorite thing about mac or Macbook? It hardly lags and everything (setup, etc) is creative and effective too me.
is the price worth it? Not all Mac's cost over 2K. Some Mac's cost around 1.4K and so do some Windows, so I'd say yes.
if your a windows user whats your biggest dislike about mac that windows has I feel with Windows it's way easier to switch applications
Ive herd windows OS runs better on mac, now thats probably not true? I'm not sure.
what do you think the biggest Program that works on windows but not mac? Not sure.
where Should I buy my Macbook if I do get one, I don't want to buy it locally so I don't have to pay Sales tax lol. FLEE MARKET, LMAO.
Favorite program you can only get on Mac I think it's called Comic life or something like that...that lets you make comics effectively.

I don't have a mac, but I just felt like filling this out for you.
I've used a mac a few times before though.

I hate everything about Mac, I am a windows user for life.
Ive herd windows OS runs better on mac, now thats probably not true?
If it does its because Mac's use tons of RAM to run their OS and windows needs like 3 gigs
what do you think the biggest Program that works on windows but not mac?
Games period

With mac, you have to use the provided software, which means no office and none of the good stuff that is easy to use.

Ive been seeing pretty good software tbh, I think its because most windows users don't search for mac Software lol. Like final cut pro it looks pro, and the only software that I cant use that I have is my anti-virus but that will not be needed lol.

maybe list some programs that don't work for mac I kind of had a hard time naming some that is on my computer that I use and I cant replace. But thanks for the advice its not that big of a deal to me because I can just simply set up duel boot if I have to or us VM

Another question lol, why don't Macs need to be defragmented?

There is nothing special about the Macbook Pro. I own one and yes, it is alright but I can get the same hardware for a PC, the only thing that really needs to be looked at, is the Operating System. OSx is alright. If you understand Linux+Ubuntu you'll see that OSx is basically the same.

I'd just get a decent laptop and install Ubuntu onto it. Or use VirtualBox or something like that.

If you're not a retard, chances are you wont get infected on a Windows based machine. But OSx does have great security, including every Linux distro and Ubuntu.

I've personally been using Windows OS. I like them better on desktop computers since they don't have as many problems with the fans. My dad has a Laptop, but after using it for a while it's fan got ****ed up and didn't work for weeks. He then opened it and did some **** and after a week it worked again. So my suggestion is to by an extra cooling fan that you can put under your laptop, they act as a supporting thingy and as a cooling fan, seen one for 25$ in some magazine. Good luck buying one.

1. Whats your favorite thing about mac or Macbook?
Well, I have a Mac and I love it. Easy access to everything (although now that Windows is completely stealing ideas from Mac, such as the explorer bar).

2. Is the price worth it?
Very much depends. If you are looking to stick with Gaming/Coding/Encrypting, Windows is better. Now there are many softwares for Windows that you may not be able to find a quick online download as on a Mac (I have tried many, many times).
Eg: Auto Clicker, found one but must buy register key.
Apple is a new species you must learn, but in the end... you'll be happy you chose it.

4. If your a windows user whats your biggest dislike about mac that windows has?
Honestly, I have a Windows laptop and a MacBook and an iMac Pro. Money is not an issue, its just that I have had the Macbook for 4 years now (never had a problem). I've had the iMac for 3 years, just upgrading from old eMac (no problems). But I have taken my laptop in 2 times from glitches in the software. Then after taking another brand new one back, Pressed power and it Crashed. Replaced it again, then took back in after a year because the outer shell was falling off. My Macbook is a little dirty because its white, but that doesn't phase me. Poor Quality, but I do not know about the new softwares coming out from Windows.

4. Ive herd windows OS runs better on mac, now thats probably not true?
This is such a great feature!! I would not say that it runs better, but It runs the same as Mac OS runs on it... lol which is amazingly great!:)

5. What do you think the biggest Program that works on windows but not mac?
I have not explored much, they all have the strengths that you become accustomed to and get a feel for it. Which I wind up using for different purposes. There is about something for both OS: Picasa and iPhoto.

6. Where Should I buy my Macbook if I do get one, I don't want to buy it locally so I don't have to pay Sales tax lol.
If you watch apple (http://store.apple.com/us/browse/campaigns/back_to_school?mco=NjcxMTQ3Nw) pretty frequently especially around now, before school, they have offers where buy a MacBook for a college/high school student or professor and receive a rebate for 300$ off an ipod.

7. Favorite program you can only get on Mac
On windows, I find myself downloading manyyy different softwares, exploring, rating, testing, all before I find a different more simple but complex software. On Macs, I use all the built-in programs: iLife, iMovie, GarageBand, iChat (great Instant Messanger), Keynote, iCal, iWeb, Skitch, Google Earth all pre-downloaded including flash players and Java. All ready when you receive your computer.

8. Why do Macs not need to be defragmented?
Not exactly sure what that means. Related to question 6 at all?

Please do not hate about my opinions. I have been introduced to Macs for a long time and these are 'my' opinions. If you would like to discuss/inform me about anything, please feel free to message me. I would love to hear what you think :):)

I've used macs since I was in 3rd grade or so, I love how easy it is to organize files and how applications are on the "dock" rather than cluttering them on the desktop.
YES
N/A - I'm not really a windows user.
I have windows 7 on my mac using bootcamp to switch between the two operating systems. No idea if it runs better on my my mac laptop verse a windows laptop or comp.
This isn't a program but many games and some file types that were made for windows will not work on a mac. (obviously but it can be annoying if you want to play a certain game that is windows only. :P)
I just got mine online from the apple store.
iMovie 09, iPhoto 09, Final Cut, Photo Booth, GarageBand.
What?

And OSx basically is a rip of a Linux distro. Don't say Windows has taken anything from OSx when that is basically not true.

Also, the iLife kit, isn't that great. I ended up buying Adobe CS set once again. I'm happy to spend $1,000 an an excellent peice of software.

And Linux was created in a Coffee shop and has gone world-wide. I know much as then they were offered by many companies to buy the OS but they refused. I'm not trying to change anyone's thoughts, I just want to let you know of what I know. And apparently no one cares.

Actually, Windows 7 is an improvement because I find that a lot of times when you download programs and try to trace it back to the default location specified, it does not appear there. Even if you checked all the folders and what not, you wind up just searching it.

I've just been so acquainted with Macs all my life, and until I found out the Dodian client worked for mac, I was in love with my PC because I needed it to play. They all have there strengths.

Windows all the way. Sorry for not responding to your question, but I'll just explain you it. My rich friend (both parents are doctors) own the best Macbook pro I've seen, he payed everything and has everything. It costed him around 3k. Then there is my sister, who payed around 800$ for a Dell. I tried on my sisters computer, and in my enormous surprise it goes way faster. Then the programs. My friend has no Windows Office programs, my sisters has, which make work way easier. You said you didn't loved gaming so I won't enter in details, but again windows win. The the fact the office looks horrible on Mac. On windows it's normal, and you can get some bootskins easy, to make it look better. Only thing that Mac wins, is security. But then just get Norton 360 for 50$ and download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to scan regulary your computre. Conclusion: Except if you're buying a macbook Pro to get the free iTouch that comes with it, You should buy it. If you're not convinced, then you can ask an expert in shops. A last reason for you : You got way more choice of computers if you take Window, so you can take one in function of what your computer is used for.

Edit: Well you made your choice. The free iTouch owns :) Anyway, If you have the money I'll say it's a good buy, but you should have bought a window laptop (I live in canada, and where I live I've got plenties choice of computers)
