I know for a fact this has come up multiple times before, I just cannot remember the outcome for the life of me.
There are currently hundreds, if not thousands of completely unused accounts, sitting around, wasting space. Not to mention some of the members around the board want names that have been taken by someone ages ago when the server was running.
I think we should get a team of maybe 5-10 people to start listing people that have been inactive for over 6 months and have no posts. They could make a list of the people, give them to Nick, or someone else, and he could delete them.
This free's up alot of the names and clears the member data base. If no one else ewould want to do it I would. Its just annoying.

Old school people won't be removed. They're like the "well known" people, Also cause they've been here for a long time.
Also, Most accounts are botters from on the server.

He wouldn't need anyone to do that. Theres a search function inside of the VB-ACP that will only show users that have not had a 'last activity' since 'XX:XX:XX'.
Only accounts with 0 posts, non-premium, and non-ranked. (Oldschool, literary, gfx, etc.) should be deleted.

If you had a literate bone in your body you would have understood what I said. We're talking about the people who havn't been active, never have posted, and are useless to the forum

Agreed

Well then that should make things easier? I think Syndicate has the best point.

Why? It makes no difference whether they are removed are not.
Unecessary effort.

Uh.
Frankly because I have seen about 30 members turned down on a name change because of someone who made an account in 2007 and has never posted? These people are active in the forums and are members of this community, the least we can do is change their name for them?
That and its an eye sore.
