Public Defenders

I suggested this in another thread, but wanted to bring it up here. I think the Public Defender rank should be brought back, and an 'Appeals' forum created as well. This would be a great alternative to the threads that have popped up in General Discussion in the last few weeks pertaining unfair infractions, "power abuse", etc.

To make sure the forum didn't turn into a great big argument / flame fest, I think it would be best if members could only get the 'start thread' permission, so that outside opinions stayed outside. Just an idea.

Public defenders were made because of some trouble with Global Mods rapidly unbanning people in-game. Just let Global Mods unban again.

will not really they where made more for in game that part is true but the only rank that could unban in game was admins so gmods where not rapidly unbanning people as they could not unban in game lol. Public Defenders had the power to unban, they where the only rank besides admins who could.


Also not for sure but I still have access in tickets I'm not for sure if that means they will want me to do general tickets and ban appeals or not.

What do you mean only member should be able to start threads? Do you mean on Premiums should be able to start threads?

As for Public Defenders, Can't Mastav and Neosback still do most of the same things as G-Mods?

No, I remember one of the Gmod's accounts were hacked by Xzite and started banning and unbanning rapidly. That's when Guthan removed Gmod's ability to unban. I don't know alot of people told me that. I do remember when Gmods could unban though.

We all decided, there was no more need for them. Both Neos and Mastav agreed with Guthan's and Italia's decision.

There's no need for them. We don't have a server anymore, so the globals are all we need.
