Can't find my messenger on my computer

Ok my step dad got pissed and deleted all my files from our family computer which is no big deal. However he deleted windows live messenger and I can't find it. I looked through the recycling bin, and searched through my local disk. I'm using vista if that's any help anyone know where the file is or what it's called?

Try system restore or re-install it. Also, go into Add/Delete programs and see what programs you have on your computer. If you can't see Your Live Messenger then it's gone.

It's not gone, because I can't re install it. I'll try to find a different download quick, but doubt it will work.
