I know, but look:
C:\Users\Adam>ping www.google.com
Pinging www.l.google.com [74.125.95.104] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 74.125.95.104:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
But I can still load the site, thats the only thing that puzzles me.
Oh and my trace routes time out too:
C:\Users\Adam>tracert www.google.com
Tracing route to www.l.google.com [74.125.95.104]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 9 ms 1 ms dslmodem [192.168.0.1]

Don't worry, the FBI isn't going to knock down your door. Google have strong buffers and donut, good luck trying to crash Google, you'll be butt-jacked before you even open a DDoS or a Bot Net. Lol.
