This is my guide for hunter. From 1-99
Starting off:
1-19. Bird Snare- Crimson Swift

This requires 1 bird snare and can be found in the eastern side of the feldip hills. http://www.tip.it/runescape/map2/jungle_region_map.png
You stay in this area from 1-19 because you collect feathers without having to switch areas for every new catch.
Drop the raw bird meat, but keep the red feathers.
I would bring 5 bird snares, because even though you can only set 1, you never know if you'll lose one.
19-27 Bird snares-Tropical Wagtail http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/runescape/images/5/54/Tropical_Wagtail.png
At level 19, you can only use 1 trap. But at level 20, you can set two.
Once again, keep the feathers and drop the meet.
They buy two box traps and head to the kramanja.
27-29-2 Box traps- Geckoshttp://www.tip.it/runescape/img2/baby_gecko.gif
You need 10 summoning to use this as a pet, but not to catch it.
Release the geckos.
