Default Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I had to make one about it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a continuation of the first-person shooter series, Call of Duty. It has become incredibly popular with many people. Like all games, it has its pros, but also its cons.

Call of Duty is a very well-made game. One of the great things about Modern Warfare 2 that makes it more unique is the addition of the "Special Ops" game mode where you can complete various missions with yourself or a friend, including stealth missions, snowmobile races, and fending off waves of attackers. The missions come in a variety; for example, some may be slow paced and take upwards to 10 minutes, others may be fast paced and high-action, and only take 2-3 minutes.

Another high point was the online play. As usual, Call of Duty has delivered almost flawlessly with it's online play. The maps, like Call of Duty 4's, were phenomenal, with a couple exceptions. One thing I DIDN'T like about MW2's online was the new invitation system. I don't like how it's sent into my message box, because if I choose not to accept the invitation, it sits around and clutters my inbox. I liked the tidy system of Modern Warfare, where it was a simple pop-up box, though it could get annoying when I'm trying to quickly change classes and I have to take the time to decline an invite.

A second con with the online play is the lack of the "Old School" mode, which, though it was commonly used to exploit glitches and get outside the map, it was a fun way to play, with gun and perk pickups. Maybe if they would just patch up the places where people misuse it? Because I thoroughly loathe the new 3rd person mode.
My final complaint about the online system is the lack of a normal cage match. Instead, it's third person cage match. Why can't I play a normal 1v1 match? Is it because people do headshots? You know, this isn't gonna stop them. It's still there. If you wanted to discourage headshots, take out tactical insertions.

Well, that's my review for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, also, hopefully an encouragement to write game reviews. And remember, just because something has been reviewed already doesn't mean you can't review it again. It's just your personal views. Thanks for reading.

I couldn't agree more.

They took out the 3rd Person Cage Match all together. I agree they should release it again in normal Cage Match. Playing 1v1 like that was fun so you can show your real skills. Boosting is gonna happen no matter what.

People use Free-For-All to boost now. Do you think they will remove the Free-For-All mode? No. So then they are allowing boost so might as well bring the Cage Match back.

This. That's what I mean exactly. It's gonna happen no matter what, and hell, I actually have an account named Head-Shot-Dummy or something. Haven't used it with my current account, it's more for my cousin, but what we'd do was he'd join a Team Deathmatch game and I'd join his session, on the dummy. If we were on different teams, we'd get somewhere secluded, I'd throw down a tactical insertion, and you can guess what happens from there. I'm just saying, they'll never get rid of boosting, and the way me and my cousin did it was even more efficient than headshots, because he'd go 30+ and 0 in a match, sometimes even getting a tactical nuke. With headshots, you don't even get as many kills.

I hate tactical insertion boosters in free for all.. I got 15 kills today in one match because I was killing boosters.

It has its advantages, and you guys are just sore losers for not being able to own the kid using it before he lunges at you. Don't get me wrong. You leap a little too far, but it's helpful for jumping off tall places.

Am I seriously the only one who hasn't thought commando is cheap? I don't use the perk (I always use ninja) and I almost never get killed by anyone using commando.

I think that perk, along with everything else in that game is horrid.

Call of duty 4 was the best game CoD game to date.

The airsupport in Mw2 is un-needed, I prefer Cod2,Cod3 style, when they didn't even have UAV, if I could have my way, No air support. PERIOD. In Cod4, Play with your skill, not a heli you don't even controll. Or the ones you do controll are ridiculously easy to figure out and destroy with in Mw2.

You should have your gun, and maybe a few of the decent perks. And we're set. Not the 50+ perks&upgrades they have in Mw2.

I'm not hating on the game entirely, or the people who play it. The contents within the game are just ... stupid. Actually, no I take the back, the game as a whole, was horrible. The maps overly-scaled (I guess to back up the large airsupport) Which was also un-needed.

Anyways i'm done ranting.
