So on Dodian I feel like the EXP rates are horrible, I am already kind of getting bored of trying to level. I have a maxed OSRS account and I feel like any 99 I will go for will basically be the same as OSRS.

Smithing requires too many bars, its also slow as fuck to smelt anything. I suggest looking at this, and rework all skills and exp rates before players get bored before the server is even a week old. others have the same POV

I'm not entirely sure what you're expecting with a server like this. Dodian's experience rates have always been on the slow side. You're not going to get a satisfactory 99 a day and then be done in two weeks.

Take smithing for example: On the Original 3.0 Steel bars gave lets say 700 exp per bar, addy gave 1.7k exp per bar mithril maybe 1.3K exp per bar. Also on here you need more coal per bar and they give half the exp. I am not talking a 99 per day, but this seems rather slow and a couple others agree aswell. I am already bored lol

I think xp rates are fine. There is no reason to need to rush and instantly be 99 in skills.

I'm fine with the xp rates, 99s should mean something...What I would suggest is speeding up some things..
For example smelting and smithing bars needs to be sped up by atleast 1 tick.

P.S. Smithing 1 mithril bar gets you 225 xp now <3

The xp rates sure need a look into and adjust. Seems most if not all experience rate for skills are "slow". Take thieving for example, it has 4 different things you can thiev. None of them give above 300 experience (not tested the level 80 chest yet). On top of that both of the pickpocket npcs are moving at a 3% chance, so it become even slower xp. Also the respawn time on the chest are 30 seconds.
Another example, fletching give same experience no matter the arrow you fletch. I do not care if this is the case as that is how dodian was it, but would be a nice quality of life to have them set different experience.
As op said, the coal usage is the same as rs and not like how dodian was like (50% reduce coal until rune where it was 8).

I think coal required should be reduced as you said and fletching xp rates should be updated. I forgot about those thanks!

There are some instances, such as the ones Arch mentions, that may need to be looked into / adjusted from a QoL perspective.

But as for the fundamental idea that exp rates need to be made faster broadly speaking - I disagree, 99s in Dodian *kinda* mean something since you can't just grind them in a day, which is part of the appeal of Dodian vs other RSPS for me.

If you don't get the urge to smash your keyboard over something after finally achieving a 99 or even a 90+ in a skill...are you even playing Dodian ya know?

there is always at least a few of these posts in the early days
