Anyone have any tips for a teacher that has favorite students? Cause, I have this business teacher for 2 subjects; entrepreneurship (Gr11) and international business (Gr12). I'm in grade 11, and as of right now anything I do and put forth my best effort in I end up getting a low 80 or high 70 in. Like nothing pleases him, but other students create the same assignment as me with a few minor adjustments and he gives them 90s and it's annoying.

Any advice on how to get on his good side or get my mark higher?

Btw, 80-100% = A, 70-80% = B
I need a high 80's average for the university I want entrance into.

Current Mark: Entrepreneurship - 83% International Business - 80%
 
Low cut shirt, short skirt, high heels, and a beat you can dance to.
 
Simple simple simple, just kiss ass. It may not be very enjoyable, but it works.

I'll try it, I find it hard and annoying to kiss ass though :\

and today he didn't really bother me, I was sitting there talking the whole damn 3rd period without doing work and he didn't say smack. :)

Seems he gave up; and maybe thats why he dosnt like you?

Start being on task, following his directions.

Aha, see I do do my work, but whenever I do do it he sends me a msg on the computer saying doing work...? or yells out my name when i am doing work :|
i think it's cause the people that I sit with in one of my classes are retards who don't do work so that classifies me as one of them. And I can't help it, i don't know many people in one of my classes, but i'm getting to know more people so it's alright.

& yes, today I didn't do work in class, because I was studying for my accounting test which was next period. I'm going to catchup on what we were doing in class over the weekend.

i'm going to be putting in extra effort in all my work from now on, I need a high 80 or 90+ in these courses.

Though it's possible that he doesn't like you, maybe you're doing something wrong. Ask him about it, ask what you could do to improve your grades and ask what's wrong with what you're doing now.
 
Well it seems your teacher really cares, if you really are seriouse I'd say ask him about changing your seating arangments in that class. Have him move you away from the "class retards" so you could focus on your work. And if you havnt figured it out yet, Good grades > socializing with "retards". And expecially when that one grade can affect your whole future.
 
I've had the same exact problem last year with my English teacher.
Turns out I kissed her ass and, as annoying as it was, I was suddenly getting better grades.
So yeah. It's annoying as fuck, but just do it.

I don't have a problem with them, they don't bother me. And i'm starting to make more friends in the class so it shouldn't be able for much longer.

I'm going to try putting more effort and if I continue to do bad, ask what i'm doing wrong and then if i have to, move seats
 
nothing you can do.If they adjust then obv they deserve a better grade then you.Just change classes it's not that hard.

weird in my school grading scale is 69=f 74=d 80=c 85=b 94=a
 
Kiss his ass, do your work. Agree with everything he says.

Don't socialize with the people he obviously doesn't like (i.e. class retards).

This teacher sends mixed signals to everyone, one day he's all happy and fine and the next he snaps and is rude :\

Sexist, possibly, doubt it though. Probably not racist, i can be categorized as almost the same race as him.

I read some stuff about him on ratemyteacher.com and it's not only me that thinks he has favourites.
 
Find something that he has an interest in, a favorite football team, something along those lines and talk to him about it almost everyday. I do this in every class it works like a charm. Even just saying hi if he passes you in the hallways teachers love that.

He loves basketball, but i know smack about that. And, i'll try saying hi :p i do half the time

I learned about Bruce Springstien because one of my teachers was obsessed about him. My mark went up 5 percent on the exam. Yes, I'm that dedicated.
