I used to play team sports but I sort of god bored of them, so i turned to solo sports like running, cycling, weightlifting ect. I can run quite easily on a treadmill now at a steady pace for about an hour, haven't been outside though because of the snow and temperature. Im hoping to start outside when it gets warmer though. Anyone else into these kind of sports?

I love running with a passion <3
How far do you run? On your little treadmill.
And it's actually better for you to run during the winter if you dress properly. It takes more energy to heat your body, therefor you are burning more energy throughout the run. Get the same effects in less time and distances.

I'm on a running team called "Spartacus" it's an intense workout group that consists of running and working out daily. At least once a month in the summer months we do some sort of triathlon, which are SO much fun.

I go to running frequently.
Longest distance I have run is half maraton(21 km)

I love running as well, i used to represent my county (like an English version of a state) and was 8th in Britain for under 15's. Since then i try to run twice a week but other commitments have meant that it is usually only once a week. I run for about 6-10miles and it usually takes me an hour to do 6-8 miles depending on what route i do. The only problem with living where i do is that it is very very hilly and so the routes i choose have about a 1300ft steady drop followed by 1300ft of running back up the hills. I no longer run competitively apart from on half marathons. Running on a treadmill definitely does not beat the real thing. Go run out in the cold, snow is nice to run on and the cold means your body stays at a good temperature. Try and get someone to run with, it makes running outside much more fun and if not get yourself some decent music with a good steady beat.

That made me lol

And uhh I usually end up running about 6-7 miles, I'm taking it slowly cause running has never been my thing, I have always been a sprinter..

This thread isn't about football, plus It's a ****ty sport where they cry if they get kicked in the leg.

How about you not judge other sports just because your tiny brain can't comprehend ****? Do you see people criticizing your idea of running 7 miles on a ****ing machine for no damn reason, while standing in the same spot? Just let people follow and play whatever you want. You could have told him to stop talking about football without talking ****.

I ran all throughout high school on Varsity Cross Country and Track, but I got sick of it. Now I swim laps everyday and lift a few times a week. My friend and I have a routine down. We lift, do abs, blaze, swim, and then sauna

You destroy the purpose of the whole routine by blazing.

If the weather continues to be cold (which I'm sure it will be) maybe you should start doing some indoor swimming. It's a great work out.

I disagree, it makes the swim more fun. Especially on a cold day when I wouldn't be able to get in otherwise. We actually have a new plan that we are going to start in 2011: eat an edible, lift, abs, once edible kicks in swim, then sauna.
