Server Rules

Offensive Language/Auto Typing :: 24 Hour Mute
Offensive Language is when a player says something offensive towards another player. Please note that abbreviations such as "gtfo" are not considered offensive. Also note that general "cuss words" are permitted, as long as they are not directed at specific players. Auto Typing is when a player has a program that automatically "talks" for them, giving them an unfair advantage. This is also not allowed.

Item Scamming :: Permanent Ban
Scamming is deceiving a player, and attempting to take their items/anything in an unfair manner. Any and every form of scamming is prohibited, and "joking" about it will not be tolerated either. Lending Items/Sponsoring also falls under the Item Scamming category. If you are caught stealing/scamming items, you will be banned for three (3) days for the first offense. On the second offense, you will be banned permanently. Under no circumstances will the staff get your items back if they are taken from you. If for whatever reason your items are taken/lost as a result of you lending/sponsoring with them, they will not be recovered for you.

Password Scamming/Account Hacking :: Permanent Ban
Tricking/bribing another player into giving you their password is NOT allowed. Any person found to be password scamming will be permanently banned. Tied to this is account hacking, which is self explanatory.

Bug Abuse :: 3 Day Ban
Exploiting any bugs, regardless of their severity, is not allowed. Please report any bugs you find. Ban time may vary.

Dodian Staff Impersonation :: Permanent Ban
Staff Impersonation is taken very seriously. If you attempt to act like someone you are not, regardless of whether you are doing this with malicious intent or not, you will be banned permanently.

Macroing :: Permanent Ban
Players using any sort of 3rd party application that give them an unfair advantage in the game, such as a cheat client or a macro, is not allowed. No exceptions.

Item Duplication :: Permanent Ban
If you are found duplicating items, every account you have will be banned permanently. Players caught with duped items will be dealt with on a case by case basis, as some may not realize the items were duplicated.

Encouraging Others to Break Rules :: 7 Day Ban
If a player asks another player to do something that is against the rules, whether that player knows it's against the rules or not, that's considered encouraging others to break the rules. For example, if player A asks player B to buy his RS account, player A will be banned and possibly player B depending on the circumstances.

Misuse of Yell Channel :: 24 Hour (1 Day) Mute
Premium members are allowed to use the Yell channel only for market sales, events, and as a tool to give others congratulations for their hard work! Conversations over the Yell are NOT allowed. If you have a problem, please report it to a moderator through private messaging. However, this does not override any other rule. If you are caught breaking another rule in the Yell channel you will still face the consequences.

Advertising :: 3 Day - Permanent Ban
Advertising any website on the server is not allowed. Many times the sites that are advertised are malicious and may even harm your computer, so please take caution and report anyone advertising.

Real World/RS/Dodian Trading :: Permanent Ban
Buying or Selling anything in Dodian with real money or another form of payment (that is unrelated to Dodian) is not allowed. This list includes, but is not limited to: • Buying/Selling RS Accounts • Buying/Selling Dodian Accounts • Buying/Selling Dodian Items • Buying/Selling RS Items If you are caught Real World Trading, you will be warned for the first offense. On the second offense, you will be banned permanently. Please note that gifting Premium Membership to another player is currently allowed, however if items within the server are being given for the "gifted membership" and those items are not delivered OR the "gifted membership" is not delivered this will fall under the item scamming rule / punishment.

Ban Evasion :: Permanent Ban
You must not intentionally register new accounts or play on another account to get around a ban. You must wait until your ban expires or is removed. You are allowed to make a new account only to browse the forums and to post a ban appeal, but it is prohibited to play on the server whilst being banned on any of your accounts. If you log onto the server, your account will be banned and the ban on your main account will be extended.

Account Sharing :: 3 Day Ban
Sharing your accounts/passwords with people is extremely risky and against the rules. This is often how accounts are hacked. We will not recover items if the account is hacked, since it was completely preventable. Keep your account secure as possible and do not share it with anyone.

Forum Rules

Spamming
The following is considered spam: • Very short posts that do not add value to the current discussion. For example, a post with only the words "I agree!" or "^ this" are spam. • Double posts. If you posted something and realized you made a mistake, use the edit/delete option. If you make another post adjacent to your previous post, the new post will be considered as spam. • Posts that obviously serve no purpose other than 'upping' post counts. • Posts like "XXX, I have a question for you" are considered spam. Personal questions should be done via private messaging. • Starting a new thread when a similar thread has already been started (this includes question threads that have been answered with a guide). • Restating a vote in a poll thread with no explanation. • Posts that contain large amounts of smileys and/or spaces to make it look like they contain useful information. • Posting mute/ban appeals in any section other than the "Ban Appeals" section. Warnings and infractions will be given, depending on the severity of the spam.

Flaming
Do not flame/flame bait other members. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. If you can't say anything that is respectful/nice, then don't say anything at all. If someone is being rude, often times that person is just trying to attract attention. As the saying goes, do not "feed the troll" by responding to the negativity, simply report it.

Profane and Harmful Content
Do not use excessive profanity in thread titles or within thread posts. Also do not post any images/links/text containing harmful content. The forums need to be clean of obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise detrimental material.

Advertisement
Advertisement is only allowed in signatures. Threads regarding an RS private server are strictly forbidden unless the server is an official affiliate of Dodian. Do not post links to websites containing harmful or inappropriate content.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is theft of another person's creations or ideas. Examples of Plagiarism: • Stealing another user's avatar/signature and claiming it as your own. • Posting another user's thread/post and claiming it as your own. • Posting a literary piece or graphic piece not created by you and claiming it as your own or not giving credit.

Ban Evasion

If you post anywhere on the forums, your account will be banned and the ban on your main account will be extended.

Leaking User's Personal Information
Do not post anyone's real life information without permission - including, but not limited to, pictures, email addresses, addresses, and names.

Gravedigging
Gravedigging is when you post in a "dead thread", which is a thread that was not posted in for over 14 days. It is against the rules to try to bring back outdated topics and you will be infracted for it.

Real World Trading: RS
The RS sections are not to be used for account trades, GP for $, or anything else of the sort. If you wish to offer services, trade accounts, etc., please do so using another method (MSN, for example). However, you may post trade offers for RS Items for items/gp on RS, such as "Buying Whip 2M". If you are caught Real World Trading, you will be warned for the first offense. On the second offense, you will be banned permanently.

Discord Rules

Spamming/Flooding
Spamming is defined as irrelevant and annoying (potentially disruptive) messages. Spam is usually sent in an effort to illegitimately promote something. Flooding is defined as sending large quantities of messages or commands for no reason.

Flaming
Do not flame/flame bait other members. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. If you can't say anything that is respectful/nice, then don't say anything at all. If someone is being rude, often times that person is just trying to attract attention. As the saying goes, do not "feed the troll" by responding to the negativity, simply report it.

Ban Evasion/Proxies
You must not intentionally get around (evade) a ban. You must wait until your ban expires/is removed, without exception. Insecure proxies allow users to evade bans and otherwise break the rules without being accountable for their actions. Therefore, the network automatically scans all clients for open proxies.

Profane and Harmful Content
Do not use excessive profanity in the Discord. Do not send links containing sexual or harmful content, as well as links to websites containing/providing malware or anything of the sort. The Discord need to be clean of obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise detrimental material.

Advertising
Do not advertise another server or post links to a website that contains harmful and/or inappropriate content.

Impersonation of Others
Do not impersonate the staff, other members, or anyone else.

Bots
No bots allowed, unless approved by an administrator.

Deception
It is forbidden to attempt to deceive a user into revealing confidential information, installing malware, or anything otherwise harmful to them. It is also not allowed to attempt to disrupt a user's Discord session, using methods such as flooding and exploiting vulnerabilities in the user's discord client.

Public Nuisance
It is forbidden to loiter in the Discord disrespecting and/or harassing the administration or other members. Non-game players with no business in the discord, especially those with a history of disrespect may be banned at the discretion of an administrator.

Final Note

Please note that the Dodian staff is responsible for keeping the server, forum, and discord server clean of unwanted content and threats. Keep in mind that even if a rule isn't specifically listed on this page, the staff still has the right to remove you from the server, forum, and/or discord server if they feel you are a threat or a nuisance to the community.
